Frisverse Webshops - Logo Design

'Frisverse Webshops' final logo - A webshop selling webshops

Frisverse Webshops - Visual derived from the logo with an additional payoff translated as 'Fresh ideas, fresh shops'

In continuation of the 'Frisvers' webshop logo design, 'Frisverse webshops' was another idea to sell webshops through a kind of online configurator. A little bit like selling a webshop through a webshop. Remember, these where the years when e-commerce was still in its infancy and was not as main stream as it is today.

In my business plan I envisioned a partnership with a company that could provide the technical backend on a white label basis.

I would sell the webshop online, do the visual design of the shop interface and provide a logo, but would outsource the technical part of the webshop.

Frisvers.nl webshop selling illustrations on canvas - Logo Design

Graffiti styled typography for a personal project selling my illustrations on canvas.

Some of the test prints I ran for the webshop Frisvers.nl with a illustration style more gearing towards kids and a kids room

A few years ago, the ever-improving technology prompted sudden growth of printing possibilities on materials other than paper. Printing on canvas became easy. Many online stores started to offer (online) printing on canvas, mainly with photography.

As a personal project, I saw the opportunity to sell canvas with my own illustrations. Starting a webshop also became easier.

Check out this blogpost (in Dutch) about some test prints I ran for Frisvers.nl.

Because of my interest and fascination with graffiti and street art, it was obvious to use graffiti-style typography in the logo.

The name "Frisvers" translates as twice the English word 'fresh' after each other and is somewhat of a funny non-existing word in Dutch.

I a way my current art is the next step towards selling my own art online.

Floor-shop.nl - Logo Design

Floor-shop wordmark logo + cartoon character of A wooden plank

Floor-shop cartoon character variations

Floor-shop.nl sells wooden parquet and laminate floors online. Nowadays the business has shifted more towards the renovation of stairs. Floor-shop.nl is therefor now rebranded as Stairz.

When Floor-shop.nl just started, I was asked to design the logo. Robert de Kuijper was receptive to suggestions and together we decided to also use an illustration of a cartoon character in the branding. This would help the recognition of the brand.

Dustarmy - Logo Design

Dustarmy logo

Jos Bakker runs several successful businesses involving vacuum cleaners and accessories. One of the smaller businesses is Stofzuigermarkt.nl (translated as 'Vacuum Cleaners Market', for which I previously did the visual restyling of the corporate identity and design of the website.

I was asked to design the identity of a new webshop, Dustarmy, under the management of Jos Bakker. The webshop would sell vacuum cleaner accessories online.

It needed to have a younger, less dusty and more dynamic 'look & feel' than the regular, other vacuum cleaner retail websites.

I designed a minimalistic cartoon character of a military vacuum cleaner and restyled the typography to fit the technical, robust side of an army more, without using the too obvious military fonts.
